Biography- Stella Mahaga, RN , MSN , PMHNP.

I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who began her career as a Registered Nurse for 12 years in the hospital and community settings. This sparked my interest in mental health based on ongoing disparities, and access challenges.

I earned a Master’s of Science in Nursing with a specialty in Psychiatry from Alverno College, Milwaukee, Wis. I received a bachelor’s of science degree in nursing from Cardinal Stritch University, Milwaukee, Wis. I am certified by the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

I currently provide diagnostic testing, medication evaluation and medication management, individual psychotherapy and behavioral health services. My areas of interest include child and adolescent psychiatry.

I believe in holistic, evidence-based approaches to provide effective, compassionate care and to optimize health outcomes for patients with mental health challenges. I also believe in family and spiritual inclusion as key elements for overall wellness, successful care and healing.”

Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, photography and spending time with my children.
